Ilias Ion Livieratos

Greek-Romanian violist Ilias Livieratos, principal violist of the Athens State Orchestra, has been recognized with several prestigious awards. In 2022, he received the Swedish Jan Wallander prize and the Antonin Dvorak Society Prize at the international Nedbal competition in Prague, Czech Republic.

In 2022, he recorded Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante with the Athens State Orchestra and in 2023, he premiered N. Paganini's Sonata per la grand' viola with the Greek radio Orchestra under M. Oikonomou at the Christmas gala.

In April 2022, Livieratos collaborated with renowned violinist Leonidas Kavakos for a charity concert for Ukraine, performing Brahms piano Quartets. In June of the same year, they performed together again as soloists this time, playing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante. They have several more concerts planned for 2023 and 2024 in Europe and Asia as well as a recording for Sony Classical.
